Full Job Description
As a key member of the Bilfinger UK Engineering Team you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most stimulating and ground breaking EPC and construction projects in the UK. You will: Assist the Project Manager to;
- Plan, organise, manage and close the project
- Assist reporting on project budget, time and safety
- Monitor the project execution strategy and project execution plan
- Assist in development and regular updates of programme
- Avoiding and resolving conflict within the team and with third parties
- Overall coordination of project team
- Progress commercial change management
- Client focal contact, including on site where required
- Internal BUK and external monitoring, reporting and forecasting
- Holding the rest of the project team to account for their delivery, motivation and management of team
If you have the following profile, then we are looking forward to meeting you - Experience in multi-discipline projects, in an EPCM / EPC company, in one of the above mentioned sectors
- Experience working to or developing a project schedule.
- Knowledge of construction activities across all disciplines and how these integrate to successful project delivery
- Practical knowledge of and experience with various phases of engineering and construction projects - including, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning
- Understanding of working with the common standard forms of contract, in particular NEC
- Result oriented. You are only satisfied after your project is accepted by the client, you delivered top quality and the client is very satisfied with the performance of you and your team
- Planning and organisation of project activities. You understand the dependencies of the activities within the project, but also the dependencies between the other disciplines. You have a 'one time right' mentality
- You delegate to the team, but at the same time you know exactly what is going on in the project, and intervene if required
- Experience of working to change control procedures and you can convince the client of the budget and planning consequences of changes
- You can help motivate the team so that they achieve the targets, also in case of setbacks
- Preferred: + BSc / BEng / MSc or Equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline + Chartered or Incorporated Engineer + Qualification or working towards qualification from APM (Association for Project Management) or similar + Experience in highly regulated process Industries
