Full Job Description
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be embedded within one of our key support programmes and be integral to achieving high-performance delivery of both Technical and Inventory support to the UK Submarine Fleet. Day-to-day, you'll undertake various functions including scheduling, cost control, risk management and procurement alongside working with stakeholders from across the team, and wider business, to help drive delivery momentum and achieve the project goals.
- Responsible for "Make/Buy" decisions.
- Responsible for control and monitoring of significant procurement budget.
- Point of contact for cross function liaison to ensure on time delivery to the customer.
- Responsible for progress reports for both internal and external consumption. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires travel to Ashton Vale, Bristol monthly basis alongside home working arrangements. You will be required to travel to customer sites in the Bristol area.
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- Experience in a project management environment.
- Confident collaborator with experience working in partnerships. Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager
- Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) and/or Project Management Qualification (PMQ) qualification or equivalent (desirable) other formal qualifications acceptable. Security Clearance The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. However, the successful candidate will be eligible to start on Standard (BPSS) with the intention to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
