We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join a busy team working on a key programme of work. The successful candidate will be supporting the Project Manager, working with our supply chain and wider stakeholder network in the MoD. You will be focused on ensuring the delivery of an IT based project which is embedded into a unique live environment, you will be supporting all building infrastructure relating to IT, CCTV, Operational Technology, and Building Management Systems etc. This role provides the opportunity for you to make a tangible difference as you support the success of AWE's critical mission. Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following: - A general understanding of Project Management terminology and lifecycle is essential.
- Experience in supporting delivery of IT based project would be advantageous.
- Prior knowledge of MOD regulations with regards to IT would be beneficial, but is not essential.
- High energy levels to ensure successful project delivery.
- Understanding of project schedule management, dependencies, and risk assessment.
- Ability to effectively prioritise workload, resources, and deadlines within high pressure complex environments.
- A clear and concise communication style with the ability to compile reports and present to peers and Senior Managers.
- Ability to solve problems and deliver results through creative solutions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be hands-on in a fast-paced, growing company.
- Ability to build strong relationships with teams and stakeholders.
- Drive and determination to deliver excellence.
- The desire to develop knowledge and application techniques of project management methodologies.
- Excellent IT skills including MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Package: £38,140 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience) Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight.
