Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager to join the Enabling Functions Team in Derby on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.What you'll be doing Accountabilities:
- Manage property transactions for the Contract Estate within agreed thresholds.
- Draft licence agreements.
- Obtain internal approvals.
- Advise internal clients on property matters.
- Manage external suppliers including solicitors, surveyors.
- Review licence lease documents and advise appropriately.
- Handle landlord & tenant matters having knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
- Co-ordination of other Surveyors in the team.
Essential Skills: - Excellent organisation, prioritisation and time management skills and strong attention to detail for meticulous record keeping; providing support working in a fast-paced environment to meet targets and deadlines.
- Strong communication and relationship skills.
- Full clean driving licence (travel is required).
- Strong IT skills, confident using Microsoft office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Strong team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
- Experience of working in commercial property.
- Property management knowledge would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
- Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and general property law.
- Ability to be within a Balfour Beatty Office/Site a minimum of 3 days per week.
