Full Job Description
The purpose of this role was to create a strong foundation of knowledgeand skills to prepare for a career as a PWP whilst supporting the clinical teamwith a wide variety of tasks. We support our Assistant PWPs to develop keyareas to apply for the Trainee PWP role where they can attain a qualificationas a practitioner., supporting people with silvercloud (our in house computerise CBT) through review calls monitoring changes in risk and following appropriate course of action delivering webinars writing referrals to specialist services like CMHT or inclusion completing admin associated with the above tasks, Principal Accountabilities : Clinical Support peopleaccessing SilverCloud, our in-house computerised CBT (cCBT). Co-facilitate the delivery of group and workshop interventions onlineand at community venues. Support the clinicalteam within agreed service protocols, such as by writing and sending referralsto other agencies once signed off by qualified practitioner. Managingyour diary and maintaining a caseload to meet the service requirements. Completeall requirements relating to data collection and recording within the service. Recordingall clinical and nonclinical activity on our patient management system in atimely manner. Complete Patient Experience Questionnaires (PEQs) with patients. Monitorchanges to risk to self and from / to others and take safeguarding actions whenneeded. Signpostingpatients to resources and services when appropriate. Liaise with external services through meetings, emails, or phone callsabout patients. Administration Provide resources topatients by email or post, considering their accessibility needs. Complete written referralsto other external services, such as CMHT. Sharing information with externalservices involved in the patients treatment. Sometimes this can include obtainingpatient notes from historic / previous services. Input the Minimum Data Set (MDS) into the patient database in a timelymanner. Scanning and uploading documents to patientrecords Ensure signposting information is kept up to date. Professional Agreeingand upholding confidentiality agreement with patients. Keepup to date with advances in support offered by NHS Talking Therapies services Preparefor and attend clinical / managerial supervision on a regular basis. Attend allsupervisions, wellbeing meetings, and service meetings. Participate in individual annual appraisal review and respond to agreedservice objectives. Attend relevant training / workshops in line with identifiedprofessional objectives. General : Adhere to the aims, values, policies andprocedures of Solent Mind, particularly safeguarding and health & safety. Essential
- Hold a level 3 qualification or higher, equivalent to A levels. Desirable
- Honours degree or equivalent in a discipline connected to mental health Skills and Knowledge Essential
- Understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in primary care
- Understanding of the NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire service and Stepped Care
- Able to work on own initiative, seeking guidance and support where needed
- Effective communication skills with colleagues, patients, and external services
- Self-reflective and responsive to feedback to develop your own practice
- Resilient and capable of maintaining boundaries to manage own personal stress
- Adaptable to short- and long-term change, for example needing to restructure your day when patient risk needs to be addressed urgently or service processes / policies update
- Able to organise time and prioritise tasks effectively Desirable
- Intermediate computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office programs
- Strong presentation skills
- Professional telephone manner
- Able to work as an effective team member and form good working relationships Experience Essential
- Supporting people with symptoms such as low mood or anxiety
- Delivering presentations online and / or in person Desirable
- Managing risk and following appropriate safeguarding protocols
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and / or working with multiple agencies to achieve a shared goal
- Delivering computer-based and / or group therapies
- Experience of using computerised patient management databases (specifically IAPTus)
