Full Job Description

You will be an active member of the acute care workforce. The successful post holder will be working under the supervision of a qualified psychologist and with the operational support of acute care management to facilitate the running of psychology groups for service users on the wards and PICU. Other tasks include brief focussed psychological interventions, supporting the qualified psychologists with team formulation sessions, supporting the development of new groups and initiatives on the ward and attending peer supervision sessions.
The psychology team is committed to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a compassionate, trauma informed and person centred approach.
The post holder will receive regular clinical supervision from a senior psychologist, and will receive appropriate training opportunities .
We have an interest in working psychologically with people who often do not get to access psychology (such as people with psychotic experiences or complex trauma). We are also interested in adapting psychological approaches to make them more inclusive and culturally sensitive.
