We have several specialist residential therapeutic communities for children overcoming childhood trauma (OCT); children overcoming sexual trauma (OST) and children Overcoming Problematic Sexual Behaviour (OPSB). We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Psychologist, to join a residential team in one of our specialist homes to deliver the New Ways therapeutic programme and enable staff to support the therapeutic goals in the residential setting. The programme combines the delivery of individual therapy and group work to children and training packages to the residential staff. Why work for Compass?

    The successful applicant will have
  • A Recognised Masters in Psychology
  • An active, energetic, creative, outgoing character
  • Good communication skills and be fluent in English speaking
  • A full driving licence
  • Preferred experience
  • Therapeutic work with children
  • Group work with young people
  • Trauma focussed cognitive behavioural therapy (TF-CBT)
  • Applying psychometric tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users
