- A 2:1 (or higher) BSc (Hons) Psychology degree
- Completion of a BPS accredited course giving you eligibility to join the BPS as a 'graduate member'
- Knowledge of mental health problems and their impact on psycho-social functioning
- Experience of working with clinical populations under close supervision
- The ability to work well within teams as well as independently
- The ability to establish and foster strong therapeutic alliances with patients
- Excellent communication skills
- IT skills - Microsoft Office/Patient record systems, Essential:
- 2:1 BSc (Hons) Psychology degree
- Eligibility to join the BPS as a 'graduate member'
- Experience of working in a relevant mental health service
- Experience of working with a clinical population
- Experience of co-facilitating group-based interventions Desirable:
- Skills and experience of using DBT-informed techniques

If you are keen to develop your knowledge of and exposure to severe and enduring mental health conditions, such as bipolar affective disorder, psychosis, complex PTSD, EUPD and schizophrenia as well as develop your clinical skills then this is the role for you. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Psychologist to deliver hybrid care (face-to face and remote delivery) to patients living in the Basildon and Brentwood area in our PT SMHP service. You will join an established team of therapists who deliver a range of evidence-based psychological treatments to adults with complex mental health needs which fall outside the remit of primary care NHS Talking Therapies provision and who do not warrant specialist input from secondary care services. You will help deliver group-based interventions as well as work with patients on a one-to-one basis. You will be well supported by receiving regular clinical supervision by a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist and will be offered relevant continuous professional development (CPD) opportunities.
