Would you like to work in a psychologically informed, formulation driven service?, The post holder will be employed by Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust and is based at HMP Holme House, Stockton-on-Tees, a category C male prison. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist and in close collaboration with prison staff to support prisoners on the offender personality disorder (OPD) pathway who reside on the PIPE (Psychologically Informed Planned Environment)., The post holder will:

  • Have a key role in creating, supporting and maintaining a healthy psychosocial relational environment.
  • Work as part of a team with prisoners and prison staff to ensure the service adheres to the theoretical principles of the PIPE model.
  • Support assessment, formulation, group facilitation, service development, research and the delivery of the core components of the PIPE model.
  • Have access to a wide variety of training opportunities and various formats of clinical supervision.

We aim to attract and retain a diverse, talented and committed workforce, who are caring and compassionate, and therefore able to meet the demands of the modern NHS now and in the future. In return we can offer a dynamic working environment in which to build a career.
  • The OPD Pathway is a set of psychologically informed services operating across criminal justice and health, underpinned by a set of principles and quality standards. Using evidence-based relational and environmental approaches, it aims to reduce risk associated with serious reoffending and improve mental health within a high-risk, high-harm cohort likely to meet the clinical threshold for a diagnosis of 'personality disorder'. The OPD Pathway is a jointly funded partnership between His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and NHS England. The OPD pathway's unique partnership model ensures the CNTW and HMP Holme House assume joint leadership in delivering the service.
