Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an aspiring psychologistto work in the DBT pathway in Worcestershire CAMHS. We welcome applications from candidates witha BPS-accredited psychology degree, who have a passion for supporting theemotional wellbeing of children or young people. We are seeking someone who has the personal qualities andenthusiasm for placing patient care at the heart of services, who is highlymotivated to learn about and improve the psychological wellbeing and outcomes for youngpeople. Skills in research and / or auditskills and applying these to service improvement will be essential. We are a friendly and supportive team and offer lots ofopportunity for staff to learn and develop., You would be working with psychologists and other CAMHSprofessionals supporting the interventions offered in the DBT pathway (groups,individual and family interventions).You would work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and support theservice by undertaking audits, evaluation, supporting clinical pathways andservice development. You would alsosupport service user engagement and projects developing increased service userinvolvement and co-development.   • Familiarity with computer use, keyboard skills and word processing, spreadsheets, database programmes, email and statistical packages, BSc / BA Honours Degree in Psychology
  • Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society

  • Advanced training in database management, An understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with learning disability, physical health difficulties, including across the age range
  • Knowledge and awareness of evidence-based applied psychological practice relating to clients within at least one of the specified service areas, including psychological assessment and therapy models
  • Graduate knowledge of research design and methodology
  • Knowledge of current NHS policies relevant to psychology services
  • Awareness of issues facing people in society who may be disadvantaged, underrepresented, marginalised or who have been discriminated against
