An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join the Acute Adult Mental Health Wards at Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough., The post offers applicants an opportunity for direct and indirect work. The post holder will work under the supervision of an experienced Qualified Applied Psychologist in supporting the co-creation of MDT formulations and further assessment where needed to inform care and intervention planning. Delivery of brief psychologically informed interventions (both group and 1-1) will also be part of the role. There may also be opportunities for audit and service evaluation as well as protected time for professional development. Opportunities are available to connect with other Assistant Psychologists within Durham Tees Valley AMH directorate.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Psychology. Previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist and delivering psychologically informed interventions to people experiencing mental health difficulties would be desirable. This is a versatile and fast paced role; you will need to demonstrate compassion, be adaptable and work with flexibility, have excellent communication skills, and have experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.

This post is offered on a permanent and full-time basis, and will cover four acute adult mental health wards. You will join a welcoming multi-disciplinary team in the provision of compassionate, trauma informed care to individuals in need of acute mental health care.
