If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to work within the Barnet CAMHS Generic Team based across the Holly Oak Clinic in Edgware Community Hospital and the Oak Lane Clinic in East Finchley.
Barnet CAMHS prides itself in working from a multi-disciplinary approach, informed and embedded within the iThrive Framework. There is a strong focus on further developing clinician's skillsets and learning from each other. We offer high-quality individual and group supervision with a Clinical Psychologist, as well as space for reflective practice. There are many CPD opportunities within the team and across BEH.
Please note if a sufficient number of applications are received then the vacancy may close early., The postholder will be a psychology graduate (with a 2:1 or higher degree and graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society).
We are looking for someone who has skills in working with young people experiencing mental health difficulties, working within a multidisciplinary team. Candidates for the role would ideally have some prior experience of working with young people with diagnoses of autism and/or ADHD, within a CAMHS setting.
There will be opportunities to co-facilitate a range of group interventions and coproduction groups, as well as offering individual therapeutic support to young people and their parents/carers. There will be a key role in administering, analysing and feeding back on outcome measures and writing clinical reports. The post holders will also support the team in coordinating our waiting lists and completing service level audit projects as part of quality and development initiatives. Responsibilities will also include liaison with allied professionals, contributing to the sharing of psychological knowledge and case discussion.
The role will require flexibility and a capacity to work responsively in a variety of situations, working closely with colleagues and other agencies involved in our service users' care.
