Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is the place to be! We have developed an integrated model of children's community services and are now looking to appoint enthusiastic individuals to join our friendly and dedicated locality and county-wide professional teams., We will ensure that this role offers you the opportunity to

  • Broaden depth of psychological knowledge and experience

  • Support with doctorate applications

  • Support clinicians, as well as opportunities in service evaluations and audit alongside direct clinical work

  • Deliver evidence-based practice as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Gain experience in ARFID

  • Gain experience in parent child work

  • Supervised by clinical psychologist

  • Gain experience in cognitive assessments, school observations, informal play based observations, parent-child observations and ADOS assessment

  • We are pleased to be advertising for a part time Assistant Psychologist to join us at an exciting time of development within the Early Child Development pathway.

    The post will be an ideal opportunity for a practitioner looking to develop their knowledge and skills both in working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the assessment of young children who present with a range of neurodevelopmental needs alongside developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. The candidate will be supported and supervised by a senior clinical psychologist and will have many opportunities to shadow their supervisor and other members of the team. Our pathway is looking for a candidate who is passionate about young children, enjoys and value multidisciplinary work and is keen to learn., We would like the people who work for Children and Family Health Devon to be understanding, patient and respectful.     CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework, in response to consultation with our service users and communities.

    CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.

    Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.
