Assistant Psychologist x 2,Soulbury Pay Scale Point 2-5

We are looking to recruit two full time assistant psychologists who wish to develop their understanding of applied psychology predominantly in early years educational contexts. Under the direct supervision of HCPC registered Educational Psychologists, and in close collaboration with other professionals, the post holders will:

· Support setting staff and families to meet the needs of children in the early years with a range of special educational needs and disabilities, through advice, assessment and intervention.

· Support setting staff and families to navigate the statutory process, potentially considering placement within specialist settings, and facilitating the smooth transition into school.

These posts will be particularly relevant to those seeking to gain knowledge, skills and experience in preparation for applying for doctoral training courses in educational psychology. We anticipate that successful candidates will join the team as soon as possible.

Minimum requirements: Honours Degree in Psychology which provides a graduate basis for registration of the British Psychological Society, and experience of working with children and young people.
