Role Overview:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects. You will be involved in ensuring that the projects are completed within the allocated budget and to the highest standards. o Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans.

o Conduct cost analysis and draw up reports.

o Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

o Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors.

o Support in managing costs on a wide variety of cut and carve and fit-out projects

o Assist in the identification, analysis, and response to commercial risks.

o Work closely with the project management team to ensure the timely delivery of projects within budget.

o Assist in the preparation and submission of subcontract interim valuations and final accounts.

o Monitor and keep track of project progress and measure the work done on site.

o Liaise with various stakeholders, such as site managers, project managers, and site engineers.

o Assist in the preparation of monthly cost reports.

o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Strong numerical and IT skills, especially with MS Excel and construction software.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
