As part of our exciting expansion in the North Home Counties region, we're looking for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll support budget control for a mix of triple tenure sites, including Private, Affordable, and Build to Rent residential schemes across the North Home Counties.

What You Will Do
+ Assist in general project coordination and administration.
+ Support the preparation and negotiation of initial site budgets.
+ Help with subcontract procurement, including obtaining risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation from subcontractors.
+ Undertake site visits and inspections, coordinating with site management and subcontractors.
+ Assist in carrying out subcontract payments, variation claims, and final account settlements.
+ Liaise with other departments and external consultants regarding cost issues.
+ Support in issuing interim payment applications to RSL Partners.
+ Participate in sub-contract pre-order meetings and regular project review meetings.
+ Prepare monthly cost reports to ensure cost control throughout the development programme.

What We Will Offer You

+ Experience: Some experience in quantity surveying within the residential housebuilding sector is desirable but not essential.
+ Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred.
+ Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills, excellent communication, and attention to detail.
+ Knowledge: Basic familiarity with construction contracts, current building regulations, and industry standards.
+ Proactivity: Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and support multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Experience in COINS is a plus, and expertise in MS Word and Excel is essential.
