Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the above part-time (60% FTE), temporary post working in the Integrated Research and Impact Support (IRIS) Service. IRIS is the University's Research Office and is responsible for supporting the University's research activities covering pre-award, post-award, knowledge exchange activities and impact, commercialisation and also incorporates the Doctoral School. The team sits within the University's Strategy, Planning & Research Directorate which also has responsibility for strategic projects and partnerships, strategic and business planning, risk assurance, business intelligence, and statutory data returns.

The postholder will provide support across a number of functions for a research and impact support team with responsibility for supporting the University-wide repository and providing dedicated support to the Repository, Research Data and Policy Manager.

The role will appeal to someone wishing to begin a career in a research support environment but also to individuals who have a keen interest in a career in higher education professional services.

Successful candidates will be educated to an AS/A level standard (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate an aptitude for working across a high-volume portfolio, and a genuine interest in supporting researchers to achieve their research outcomes.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available until 30th September 2026.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.

This role will be located on campus at Bangor. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
