Assistant Research Practitioner - Band 4

As an Assistant Research Practitioner you will work alongside Research Nurses/Midwives/AHP's to maximise Shrewsbury and Telford Hospitals Trust recruitment of patients into research appropriate for their condition. The role is diverse and interesting and you will play a part in improving healthcare and treatments for future generations. The post is within the Research and Innovation department and there may be a requirement to support the Generic, Cancer and Women's and Children's team as part of the role.,

• Overseeing patients journey throughout their time in a research study
• carrying out observations as required by each study
• involvement in setting up and delivering new studies
• organising workload to ensure requirements of the role are met
• data entry as required for each study
• venepuncture and sample management including centrifuging samples where required (training provided where required)
• screening, consenting and following patients up as required by each study protocol
• maintaining safety and stock for each study
• supporting others in the team with duties as required
