Full Job Description
The Assistant Reservations Manager reports directly to the Reservations Manager, with the role sitting in the commercial team in the Restaurants and Kitchens directorate within Harrods. The purpose of the role is to supervise the day-to-day business and oversee the Reservations team. Supported by the Reservations Manager, you'll guide the team to progress in their assigned areas, achieve required standards and targets as well as ensure the best customer experience. The role involves supervising online and offline platforms required by the business, overseeing customer communications, implementing required operational standards and ensuring that all booking channels are well managed to support the business requirements. This role supports the Reservations Manager in leading the team to achieve financial goals and targets, implementing given strategies to maximise covers, and ensuring that the team has required tools and guidelines to complete their daily and assigned tasks. The Assistant Reservations Manager is required to support managing restaurant campaigns, hospitality events, projects, and the development of the Reservations department through strategic vision. This role involves detailed reporting required to observe the department's performance and support the business growth and development.
As the Assistant Reservations Manager, you will have the ability to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision. You will require strong attention to detail in this role, which will be evident in your organisation of the department and accurate reporting. You will be an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, being able to strengthen relationships within the team, whilst building relationships with Harrods stakeholders and customers. Further qualities which will set you apart include:
- Strong work ethic and commitment to the Harrods values
- Experience managing multi-venue sites with varying concepts
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability and willingness to multitask
- Flexibility and readiness to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong PC and software literacy. Experience with Microsoft Office including Teams, Sevenrooms, OpenTable, The Fork, SK Chase and Stripe would be a plus
