Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Residences Officer to work in the Student Accommodation Service, within Student Services with the goal of ensuring students have the best experience within the University owned halls.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Residences Officer in a designated area of the University halls of residence to maintain an effective and high-profile relationship with all student residents on site throughout their stay.
Assisting in the resolution of any student wellbeing and disciplinary issues that may arise, the Assistant Residences Officer will respond effectively, professionally and promptly to all student requests and complaints. As part of the wider Accommodation team, the Assistant Residences Officer will also be expected to respond to customer requirements in any area of halls.
Significant experience of working within an accommodation setting and delivering high levels of customer service in a demanding environment with experience of dealing with students. Candidates must have GSCEs or equivalent in Maths and English or experiential equivalent.
We are looking for good communicators who have proven IT skills and are able to work as part of a team. The post holders must also be enthusiastic and self-motivated and be resilient under pressure.
