Assistant Site Manager East Midlands An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Site Manager to join the team at Galliford Try. Ideally, you will based in or around the Leicester area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region. What you will be doing:
- Assist Coordination and control of initial site set up as required.
- Assist in ensuring all site resources are utilised effectively with minimal waste.
- Assist in ensuring effective coordination of resources working on the project.
- Assist with careful material and plant management to meet programme and financial objectives.
- Ensure Permit to work systems, inductions and briefing are correctly carried out.
- Assist in the preparation of RAMS, COSHH assessments and safety plans as required.
- Effective liaison and communication with GT site team and subcontractors.
- Undertake site inductions with subcontractors as required.
- Ensure subcontractors deliver work to meet safety, quality and programme requirements.
- Supervise subcontractors to ensure quality and "right first-time approach".
- Assist with monitoring and recording subcontractor performances.
- Produce own site diaries.
- Assist with all obligations for external compliance audits.
- Assist in identification of new processes, techniques, and innovations on site.
Able to communicate effectively with site team and subcontractors. - Capable of delivering safety briefings and toolbox talks.
- Calm, level-headed approach with strong communication able to get the most of the team and subcontractors.
- Good customer liaison skills.
- Aware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
