gap construction are excited to be supporting this international construction company in their search for an Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a large residential development in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a young up & coming Assistant Site Manager looking to take the next step in their career, assisting in managing the successful delivery of high-quality, large scale residential projects. Initial duties will include assisting with the facade works before moving into internal works, so this is a great opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of site.,

  • Supporting the Site/Facades Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that all activities are carried out efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Regularly liaising with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is progressing as planned and any issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining site records, including health and safety documentation, progress reports, and quality inspections.
  • Helping manage site logistics and resource planning to ensure the site operates efficiently.

    Previous experience working in a junior construction management role is desirable.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage several tasks at once.
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Site Manager or similar qualification (SMSTS, First Aid, etc.) preferred but not essential.

    Competitive salary in the range of £32,000 - £38,000 and the opportunity to progress within the business.
