Full Job Description
We are recruiting for aAssistant Sleep Practitioner who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person with a background in respiratory and sleep to join our friendly and supportive team.
You will be carrying out Sleep Studies on a range of in and out patients of all ages and support the Sleep Physiologist leading the overnight polysomnography tests.
You will learn basic sleep fundamentals such as treatment for sleep apnoea, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). You will be a requirement to answer patients queries around issues with CPAP treatment and sending consumables to patients who require replacements.
A cheerful and pleasant personality is essential, as is experience of working in a hospital or other clinical setting performing.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work unsupervised and be flexible with your hours if required. This is a very busy position and a good level of fitness is essential. Knowledge of hospital IT systems is an advantage. Full training will be given with support.
