Lakeland are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Store Manager for a our upcoming new store in Haskins Garden Centre Roundstone, Angmering, Littlehampton BN16 4BD

You'll be able to win over the team straightaway with your passionate and energetic approach to what you do. An experienced hand in retail management, you'll know how to get the best out of your team members and assist their development with training that will keep them motivated and always improving.

Founded in the early 60s, we're still a family-owned business with the same strong values of quality and customer care now as when we first started. From selling plastic bags for home freezing from the Rayner family garage in Windermere, to over 4000 kitchen and home products today, Lakeland has grown to the extent that we now send out thousands of parcels a day from our Kendal despatch centre, and we have stores nationwide, stretching from Aberdeen to Exeter, with more in the pipeline.

Permanent 37 Hours per week

£13.57 per hour (circa £26,000pa)

You'll be in competition with sites of outstanding natural beauty, but you'll nevertheless aim to make visiting our stores a highlight of every customers' day. That's a challenge you'll take on every day by driving standards among your team and setting goals for their ongoing development.

Deputising for the Store Manager when required, you'll use sales figures as your guide as you help them develop strategies for recruitment and stock management as well as a labour model aligning resource to demand. As you do that, you'll ready yourself to make the step up to being the manager for real when the time comes., There are many benefits to being part of the Lakeland team.
