Full Job Description

We will be reviewing this policy and approach at regular intervals to ensure we're meeting our attendance needs.

Do you care about making streets better places for people to walk, wheel, cycle and spend time? Are you interested in how we can enable people to move around cities in more sustainable ways?

The City of London Corporation want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the work that we do. The City of London Corporation is currently undergoing a programme to ensure that our pay and reward practices are competitive and equitable. We are committed to regularly benchmarking and reviewing pay across the whole organisation and against external sectors.

We are currently recruiting to fill the vacancy of Assistant Street Space Planner in the Street Space Planning team. We are keen to hear from you if you feel you are suitable for this position. This role is a 12-month fixed term contract.

At the City of London Corporation, we're passionate about ensuring our streets and transport network supports the Square Mile, one of the world's most iconic locations - a global business hub, international visitor destination and a great place to live. We have adopted ambitious targets to reduce traffic and carbon emissions, and we want to transform the City's streets to prioritise people walking, wheeling and cycling.

Join us as an Assistant Street Space Planner and you'll join a team that is tackling complex transport matters and proposals. You will support the City Corporation's efforts to make our streets healthier, more accessible, safer, greener and resilient.

Alongside an exciting and challenging programme of work, you can look forward to a competitive salary, plus excellent benefits. This includes generous annual leave, access to our desirable local Government Pension scheme and staff discounts on everything from eating out to gym memberships.
