The starting salary for this role is £52,947 per annum based on a 36-hour working week. Surrey County Council also provide me with the opportunity to work autonomously and encourage opportunity for career progression for their practitioners." - Ed Parker, Assistant Team Manager We are excited to be hiring a new Assistant Team Manager to join our fantastic Learning Disability and Autism team. The team is based in Guildford however, you will only be expected to be in the office twice a week following your induction. About the role In this role you will ensure that frontline care services in the West Learning Disability and Autism Team are high quality and customer-focused whilst taking responsibility for leading the team and managing resources. What's more, your remit will include putting measures in place for risk management and business continuity, building relationships with other agencies and service providers, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following

  • You are a qualified Social Worker, have current professional SWE registration and hold significant post qualification experience at a senior social worker level.
  • Experience in leading a team including performance management and development
  • Substantial experience of managing the delivery and improvement of social care and managing budgets
  • Experience in mental health service, including assessment and risk management skills
  • Working knowledge of Care Act legislation including experience in preparation of support plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes
  • Commitment to your own professional development, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Mental Health issues
