Full Job Description

· Housekeeping duties

· Performing ECG's in clinics and other departments

· Blood glucose measurement

· Holter monitoring, 24 hr ambulatory hook up

· Cleaning and maintenance of equipment and reporting of any faults to a senior physiologist

  • ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

    · Basic clerical and administration duties

    · Monitoring of stock levels

    · Participate in audit collection

    We are looking for highly motivated, forward-thinking, individuals to become part of our committed team who work in the Cardio-Respiratory Department. You will be trained in a range of procedures eg. Electrocardiograms (ECG), Spirometry, Blood Gas Analysis., Disability Confident

    Successful applicants will be expected to achieve a set of work-based competencies over a 6 month period, before progression into Band 3 level. Support and training will be provided. Failure to successfully complete this training within 12 months may result in termination of contract.

    An Enhanced DBS Certificate, with the checking of the Children and Adults' Barred Lists is required for this position.

    Providing primary care services at Marshalls Cross Medical Centre situated in St Helens Hospital.

    Community Services

    Providing adult community services for St Helens and a wheelchair service in Chorley, South Ribble, and West Lancs. Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.

    Specialist Regional Services

    We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
