Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Technician to join our dynamic FSE Technical Operations team, which strives to provide a sector leading technical support for our students and staff. The purpose of this role is :
- Work in support of part of a team of technicians providing technical support and assistance across all teaching spaces in MECD.
- Work as part of a team of technicians to prepare the teaching spaces, equipment, and materials for practical classes.
- Act as a point of contact for staff and students to report technical issues to, knowing how and when to escalate effectively to others so that corrective actions can be put in place quickly.
- Follow direction from senior technicians to prepare teaching spaces, equipment, and materials needed for practical classes.
- This is a practical role and will require a level of manual handling, waste disposal, basic inspection and testing of electrical equipment and apparatus, etc. Therefore, the post holder will be expected to comply with all health and safety relevant safety policies. Please note, under the new immigration rules this role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route of the Points Based System. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK in order to be eligible to take up the post.
