Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Community Therapy Team based in Newtown, Powys. We are looking for an Assistant Therapy Practitioner to join our established, friendly and experienced team., The Community Therapy service provides multidisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation for adults in their own homes as well as for those in inpatient beds accross north Powys. The team includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Therapy Practitioners, Rehabilitation Therapy Assistants and Administrative Support staff.

The post holder will assess, implement, treat and progress patients in accordance with agreed protocols and treatment regime under the supervision of the qualified therapist. This will include working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency arena, alongside other members of local multidisciplinary teams.

The role will require a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual who has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. The successful candidate will be able to show initiative, have good communication and organisational skills, being able to prioritise a caseload in a busy community setting.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
