EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We're currently recruiting for an Assistant Utilities Coordinator to join our Twyford to Greatworth (T2G) section in the Brackley area.
In this role you will be primarily responsible for the site inspection of work areas, permits and support appointed Authorised and Responsible Persons to ensure full compliance to HSG47 Guidelines, Breaking Ground Activities and Utility Detection Standards (HS-STD-5020) and Overhead Hazards Standard (HS-STD-5021).
You will liaise and support both Authoring & Responsible Persons and supervisory teams. You will be responsible for Document Management - check Breaking Ground Permits and GS6 Permits to Work are in date and relevant to the location of work. You will also be responsible for Quality Control - check service drawings are of a good quality and legible to work to.
In addition you will verify that work group have been briefed on the Breaking Ground Permits, CAT scanning protocols are in place and also verify that identified services are clearly marked out on the ground and control measures briefed to work parties. You will ensure good digging practices and techniques are being employed and support the Utilities Coordinator as required.
Engineer or Site Supervisor with experience in working in and around utilities
- Holder of SSSTS or SMSTS certificate
- Holder of EUSR Service Avoidance - Category 1 and 2 or NVQ Level 2 in Utility Avoidance and Buried Services and EUSR 2 or NRSQA Location and Avoidance of Underground Services (with S2,S3, S4, S5 & S7 modules)
