Full Job Description

This role will provide Trust wide strategic leadership as part of the single corporate service across Isle of Wight Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals Trust, reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer. The successful candidate will be in integral part of the trust wide senior nursing team. Youwill ensure the Trust meets its obligations under the Childrens Act 2004, Working together to safeguard children 2023, Safeguarding Assurance and Accountability Framework 2022, Care Act 2014, regulatory remits of the CQC and other relevant legislation and guidance in order to ensure the Trust provides safe effective and well led services, in line with the Trust values which safeguard people at risk., You will build effective and productive relationships with partner organisations and our communities, define a safeguarding strategy that reflects the national and local agendas, and provide professional guidance and support to colleagues regarding best practice.

You will have a proven track record of delivering leadership within safeguarding and you will take a strategic and professional lead in respect of this agenda for both children and adults. You will lead and support all activities necessary to ensure that we meet our responsibilities to our patients and carers. With well developed expertise in driving continuous quality improvement you will be able to demonstrate the ability to engage staff at all levels, promoting collaborative working to achieve outcomes.
