Associate Chief Nurse Safeguarding

Location:Across sites, both Isle of Wight NHS Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust (frequency of visits to each site, to be agreed locally)Position Type:Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekSalary:Band 8D£88,168 - £101,677 per annum, This role will provide Trust wide strategic leadership as part of the single corporate service across Isle of Wight Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals Trust, reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer. The successful candidate will be in integral part of the trust wide senior nursing team.

The post holder will ensure the Trust meets its obligations under the Children's Act 2004, Working together to safeguard children 2023, Safeguarding Assurance and Accountability Framework 2022, Care Act 2014, regulatory remits of the CQC and other relevant legislation and guidance in order to ensure the Trust provides safe effective and well led services, in line with the Trust values which safeguard people 'at risk'.

The post holder will build effective and productive relationships with partner organisations and our communities, define a safeguarding strategy that reflects the national and local agendas, and provide professional guidance and support to colleagues regarding best practice.
