Client Management Group (CMG) provides multi-jurisdictional client support to HSBC's Global Banking coverage teams and facilitates client onboarding and maintenance across all HSBC products. We are part of the Global Banking Coverage teams that undertakes the coordination and completion of key operational activities, whilst providing regulatory expertise and risk management assistance. CMG strategy aims to deliver high quality, standardised and consistent support globally for all GBM customers. We also provide a Relationship Management (RM) function to a portfolio of asset managers and hedge funds. We are currently seeking a diligent and experienced person to join our team as an Associate Client Manager As an Associate Client Manager (CM), you will be the key point of contact for CMG's RM's and clients from an onboarding, account maintenance and Customer Due Diligence perspective. You will be responsible for the oversight and co-ordination of new business on-boards, existing client maintenance and some facilitation of client exits as well as supporting the RM's with any onboarding related relationship tasks. Your key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Working closely with clients and all Global Banking functions to raise, lead and manage, coordinate and prioritise all onboarding requests on behalf of ICG Funds/Hedge Funds Team
  • Managing, coordinating and prioritizing all New to Bank KYC requests
  • Owning and managing the interface with business, as well as functional counterparts
  • Establishing and supporting strong relationships with key individuals in the client's management team
  • Ensuring CDD is prioritised and completed in line with agreed timeframes
  • Working closely with the Legal Documentation Team to achieve target dates and on-boarding deadlines
  • Ensuring regular reporting is delivered to line management for key stakeholders
  • Proactively interact with the credit team to ensure new lines and any amended lines are approved and updated in the Global Risk Portal
  • Managing processes in line with operational risk controls and all relevant regulatroy standards

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • KYC experience of instituational clients (asset managers, hedge funds) is essential
  • Knowledge and experience of Asset management and Hedge Funds
  • A competent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A passion for delivering outstanding customer service with experience in a client services or client management
  • Experience of collaborating with and managing a variety of stakeholders
  • Accomplished planning and organisational skills with an ability to effectively prioritise and meet critical deadlines under pressure
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise and accurate way
  • An ability to lead projects and deliver high-quality results in short timescales
  • A positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm, with the willingness to challenge the status-quo
  • The capacity to tackle and solve problems individually and collaboratively
