This is an exciting and diverse role and a key part of the Facilities Management (FM) Category team with responsibility for carrying out the day to day tasks that effectively support the successful delivery of the Commercial Agreements, as well as the customer and supplier relationship management processes.
Commercial Directorate overview
We are the largest team in CCS and have delivered value to the public sector by creating more than £3.5 billion in commercial benefits. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fifteen teams across our 3 categories, all of which manages over £34bn of Public Sector spending. Candidates should be aware that there will be opportunities to flex into other category areas as required, either to meet business needs and/or for staff development.
Team Summary
The FM Category team manages a portfolio of over £3bn of spend through facilities management and estates services agreements.
You will play a vital role, working on end to category management activities, which supports the delivery and management of crucial facilities management contracts across the government and wider public sector estates.
Our Commercial Team is transforming to become even more flexible. Candidates should be aware that there will be opportunities to flex into other category areas as required, either to meet business needs and/or for staff development., + End to end management of commercial agreements
+ Focus on the customer journey and the value that can be added
+ Management and monitoring of supplier performance against relevant Key Performance Indicators
+ Creating supplier action plans, identification of cost reduction and value added services opportunities; and risk management
+ Developing relationships and collaborating with customers and colleagues to ensure the delivery of an exceptional service
+ Collating, reviewing and critically analysing data to support the effective management of commercial agreements to ensure compliance with all policies and regulations and identify emerging risks / issues and opportunities for growth
+ Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver growth, attract new customers, drive customer retention and provide enhanced value for money
+ Producing marketing materials - for example, case studies, newsletters, presentations and Webinars
+ Supporting the development and implementation of strategies aligned to support the ongoing growth of the framework
+ Developing all necessary documentation in readiness to go to market for new/renewed commercial agreements to required quality and on time. This may include PINs, Fine a Tender Service (FTS) notices, specifications and pricing models
+ Contribute to the Team’s compliant and efficient management and maintenance of operational documentation and governance process
+ Following processes and procedures to deliver robust supplier relationship and performance management. Providing recommendations for improvements in processes and implementing solutions to the benefit of the category

+ Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of procurement with the ability to analyse and communicate data to assist commercial decisions
+ An ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships within a commercial environment
+ Experience in the collation, management, analysis and presentation of information/data
+ Proven ability to prioritise workload and work at a pace to meet deadlines. Well organised, able to work independently as well as part of a team
