Full Job Description

The Raw Data Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting file transfer systems and processes. This role requires collaboration with various IT and business internal and external teams to understand requirements, ensure data integrity, and streamline file exchange processes. Key areas include data integration, protocol management, process automation, security, and compliance., File Transfer Management:

  • Set up, monitor, and maintain secure file transfer systems.
  • Ensure smooth and reliable file transfers across various platforms and networks, both internally and with external partners.
  • System Analysis and Optimization:
  • Analyze current file transfer processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop solutions to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize file transfer times.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their file transfer needs and requirements.
  • Document workflows, specifications, and any configurations related to file transfers.
  • Protocol Configuration and Setup:
  • Configure file transfer protocols, such as SFTP, Connect:Direct, AS2, and HTTPS, based on requirements.
  • Manage access controls, encryption standards, and security configurations.
  • Error Handling and Troubleshooting:
  • Investigate and resolve file transfer errors, failed jobs, or other issues.
  • Implement error-handling protocols to ensure minimal data loss or delays in file transfers.
  • Security and Compliance:
  • Implement and maintain secure file transfer solutions aligned with industry security standards.
  • Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Set up monitoring tools and alerts to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Generate reports on file transfer success rates, errors, and other key performance metrics.

    Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS).
  • Analytical Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ability to analyze complex workflows and design efficient solutions.
  • Security Knowledge:
  • Understanding of encryption, data protection, and secure transfer practices.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to document technical processes in a clear, concise manner., Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Prior experience in a systems analyst or IT support role, preferably within data integration or file transfer management.
  • Experience with monitoring and automation tools.
