RPS Design Division delivers projects across multiple, niche sectors from logistics, retail, aviation, healthcare, education, advanced manufacturing, data centres, residential, energy and more as we strive to achieve the right balance between form and function when faced with competing priorities around sustainability, materiality, cost and constructability. What you'll be doing: This is an exciting role for an individual looking to progress their career as an Associate Director within our industry leading team where we have an excellent reputation, offering a wealth of expertise in all sectors. Duties Include:

  • Delivery lead Data Centre projects.
  • Oversee due diligence and full-service design projects, providing leadership in in-house planning and permitting, civil and structural engineering, MEP, security, fire engineering, CDM, BSA and other relevant specialisms for both new build and major refurbishments.
  • Guide projects from startup to completion, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule, meeting design requirements whilst maintaining consistent quality.
  • Oversee the technical delivery within the data centre sector, setting standards, mentoring, and coaching the team to ensure excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with all and working collaboratively with other RPS divisions.
  • Identify new opportunities and secure new businesses/ clients.
  • Lead proposals and bid processes.

    To be successful in this role you will be a qualified Architect ideally with substantial post qualification experience. You will also have the following:
  • Extensive experience in a variety of co-location and hyper-scale data centre projects.
  • Experienced in site due diligence, campus master-planning, and conceptual, schematic, and detailed design through to construction documents and administration.
  • Proven delivery experience in the Data Centre sector.
  • Experienced in leading and mentoring individuals/ the team.
  • Additionally, you will have:
  • Strong leadership and project management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Make strategic business decisions.
  • Be financially and commercially astute.
