Associate Director, Data Strategy and Transformation

In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of the Data Solutions Commercial Strategy (with shared responsibility with Ops Gov & Strat Client Partnerships AD). As a Business Product Owner and accountable for successful implementation and management of various internal and external systems and platforms. This role oversees the implementation and continued development of a comprehensive data governance strategy, including new or enhanced technology solutions to enable the data governance strategy.

This position will be home-based with anticipated travel (international) of approximately 10-15% of the time.

Data Technology and Commercial Strategy

• Responsible for developing and implementing Data Solutions Commercial Strategy, in partnership with the AD of Strategic Client Partnerships


• Identifies and pursues development of new technology-enabled commercial services related to clinical trial data management


• Partners with leaders of other operational and strategic technology initiatives to ensure alignment of future service offerings and appropriate market positioning


• Regularly monitors current commercial strategy to ensure continued viability, and proposes adjustments as commercial and technology landscapes shift


• Supports the AD of Strategic Client Partnership in the implementation of updated commercial policies in support of new services developed through the Data Solutions Commercial Strategy


Data Insights and Innovation

• Responsible for continued development of the Data Solutions transformation strategy; utilizing the power of Labcorp CLS data to deliver innovative new solutions that maximize the value proposition of our commercial services


• Actively monitors industry and technology trends to ensure alignment of new data innovations and insight services with client needs and strategic direction


• Promotes solutions to maximize the value of Labcorp CLS data through mining and statistical analysis; responsible for establishing data insight services to identify opportunities for internal process improvements, as well as potential consultative services to be offered externally


Data Governance

• Oversees the implementation and continued development of a comprehensive data governance strategy


• Supports the defining of data strategy, implementation of data-related policies and procedures, and the enablement of data-driven decision making across departments


• Establishes and enforces data governance policies, including data quality standards, privacy regulations, and compliance measures


• Oversees data acquisition, storage, analysis, and dissemination processes
  
  Bachelor level degree


• Minimum 8 years of people leadership experience or management roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.


• Experience successfully leading the implementation of new technology-enabled products/services from ideation to market introduction


• Demonstrated strong customer service skills.


• Strong understanding of stakeholder relationship management, project delivery processes, product model and business operations.


• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive organizational change.


• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience


• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.


• Demonstrated a high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.


• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in clinical or laboratory settings


• Proven strength in planning, problem solving and organization


Preferred Education and Experience:

• 10 years' leadership experience


• 10 years' client management experience


• Experience in a "Business Owner" (or equivalent) role within a formal product development discipline.


• Bachelor level degree or higher


• Technical experience implementing and/or managing enterprise ETL and data lake solutions
