Full Job Description

  • Deliver Concept design, FEED, feasibility and Detailed design projects and bids for clients
  • Develop cost-effective engineered solutions, considering materials, manufacturability, and compliance with both customer and internal standards.
  • Carry out loading calculations to verify the adequacy of proposed designs.
  • Calculate appropriate cable sizes.
  • Perform rating calculations.
  • Prepare material schedules and bills of quantities.

    Degree level qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with specifications from clients like National Grid, SSE, and UKPN
  • Experience and knowledge of EHV (11kV to 400kV) power systems and equipment and ideally EHV power cables and substation equipment
  • Understanding of cable installation techniques
  • Proficiency in IEC standards and familiarity with design software
