Full Job Description

As the Associate Director of Finance - System Reporting you will be part of the senior finance team within Derby & Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) and an integral part in developing and supporting the understanding of financial intelligence for the Joined up Care Derbyshire (JUCD) ICS System.
This is a key role, leading on system reporting of financial performance and will afford the post holder an excellent opportunity to work across organisations within the Integrated Care System (ICS) finance function at the most senior level. In addition, you will work with operational and workforce colleagues to develop financial reporting which tells the full story - gaining greater depth of understanding of how activity and workforce interact with financial performance.
Reporting directly to the Director of Finance (Strategy & Planning) we are seeking a values-driven individual with the appropriate professional and leadership skills to lead the system reporting team., The Associate Director of Finance - System Reporting is a key role across the JUCD finance function. The postholder will be required to take the coordinating lead on financial reporting across the system, ensuring JUCD present a consistent basis for financial performance which is understood both by finance and non-finance colleagues.
The successful candidate will need to work collaboratively with peers from across workforce, strategy, business intelligence and other professional specialities to tell the story beyond the numbers. Working to support the understanding of the impact of drivers of financial performance and support strategic and operational decision making to improve financial outcomes.
The post holder will be responsible for reporting JUCD financial performance within the ICB, to JUCD system partners and via NHSE reporting templates. Ensuring accuracy, consistency and governance matters are carried out with care.
The post is responsible for line management of a team, and the successful candidate will have a role to support the development of the individuals in that time. As a member of the ICB Finance Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the overall team development., Main duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
· Production of accurate and timely financial information to JUCD and the ICB to support the delivery of all statutory financial obligations/duties, ensuring best resource utilisation and aiding decision-making.
· Lead in preparing the JUCD finance reports to JUCD Committees and NHSE.
· Lead across JUCD Providers preparing submissions, as appropriate.
· Assist the Chief Finance Officer in the development of the JUCD financial strategy.
· Support in providing advice and support across JUCD, ensuring the services provided are cost effective.
