Full Job Description

The Associate Director of Learning Organisation Development is a pivotal member of the Leadership Team of the People Directorate. The role will lead the organisations approach to Learning and Organisational Development and plays a key role in leading the delivery of Sirona's people strategy.
This role will support the development of our team-based learning and leadership right across the organisation and is integral to the transformation of the People, Development and Communication function. The role will support the Chief People Officer in the strategic direction of people function and the delivery of a comprehensive Learning, Organisational Development approach within Sirona, leading the implementation of the LODD Strategy and supporting plans specifically focussed on our inclusivity agenda and improving the performance and learning experience for our staff.
This role will lead Sirona's holistic approach of learning from induction, appraisals, and development reviews through to lifelong learning, growing the workforce for the future, including our apprenticeship programme and student placement. Ensuring statutory and mandatory training requirements will be fundamental and linked to the next steps in our staff members learning journey.
Working to the Chief People Officer this role will have regular direct contact with all our Executive team, be a senior influencer advising the Board and Executives on strategic organisational development and learning.
Ideally you will have extensive experience of working within the public sector at a similar level and within a complex organisation, having demonstrated successful delivery of improvements to workforce development and learning. This role will work with a wide range of stakeholders and work closely with leads across our integrated system, so it is key that you understand both current and future statutory requirements around learning & development for a community health provider.

Main duties of the job
This role will report to the Chief People Officer (CPO) and play a pivotal role in the transformation and improvement of Sirona through our people.
The post holder will support the CPO in the strategic direction of PDC and the delivery of a comprehensive Learning, Organisational Development & Design (LODD) approach within Sirona, leading the implementation of the People Strategy and supporting plans specifically in relation to LODD ensuring these are directly linked to Sirona's strategic objectives, supporting the delivery of high quality, evidence-based care to people and our communities., The role has a wide-ranging and extensive portfolio including strategy and policy and major change & culture programmes across Sirona. With the Chief People Officer, the post holder will ensure that the people directorate's functions have the resource and capability required to implement the organisation's strategy and vision.
Ideally you will have extensive experience of working within the health/public sector at a similar level and within a complex organisation, having demonstrated successful delivery of large scale people plans.
This role will work with a wide range of stakeholders and will also work closely with leads across our integrated system so understanding and having experience of political sensitivities providing community services will be key.
