The Department of Health and Social Care has awarded capital funding to invest in local health services at both Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary. This is a significant investment and an opportunity to enhance services for our populations in Calderdale and Huddersfield and West Yorkshire for generations to come. To find out more, please visit https://future.cht.nhs.uk, The Associate Director of Nursing for community services will lead and develop nursing teams within the divisional group whilst also playing a pivotal role in the provision of compassionate leadership across the organisation.
The post holder will have responsibility for setting, maintaining and monitoring standards of nursing care within the division. They will work as part of the divisional senior leadership team to deliver the Trusts strategic aims and objectives, building and maintaining relationships with system partners and key stakeholders.
As community services continue to transform at scale and pace , the Associate Director of Nursing will ensure that effective governance processes are in place to support this and that services are designed with the patient truly at the centre., · Provide outstanding nursing leadership across the division, to ensure delivery of high quality care and a positive patient experience across all aspects of the organisation. Lead and manage the matrons and clinical leads across the division.
· To lead and develop a safe, skilled and competent workforce ensuring the implementation of an effective plan for continuing professional development.
· Ensure that teams are compliant with specialty standards regarding training and education.
· Ensure a just and learning culture, promoting professional curiosity and creating a positive learning environment.
· Accountable for delivery of agreed nursing quality, safety and workforce metrics and effective nursing assurance framework.
· Responsible for establishing an effective governance framework at divisional and directorate level
· To work with the SLT on the operational delivery of the key priorities set out in CHFT strategies.
· To lead on the development of quality and safety annual plans
· To ensure implementation of national standards, guidance and best practice
· Responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of innovative models of care, working closely with relevant stakeholders
· Participate in the wider organisational development programmes, taking a lead role where appropriate.

We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary as well as in community sites, health centres and in patients' homes. We also are incredibly proud to have almost 150 volunteers here at CHFT.
We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children's and young people's services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services.
We provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres. These include Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.
We continue to modernise and invest in our health services to build on our strong reputation. Foundation trusts are public leaders in improving quality in health services. You may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £42.90, Standard £22.90 or Basic £22.90) from your salary when you commence in post (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
