Full Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced children's nurse to join our senior team as Associate Director of Nursing.

As Associate Director of Nursing you will have the opportunity to drive change using your expertise todevelop strategic policy in partnership with managers and other healthcare professionals to improveand deliver top quality, safe and consistent nursing across the division.

If you are an effective leader with a passion for improving patient care and outcomes, and have the ability to inspire fellow theatre staff to innovate the way they work, develop professionally and grow the department we want to hear from you., Paediatrics is a busy, but rewarding department to be a part of. As Associate Director of Nursing, you will be supporting our team across MSE, but you will be based at Southend Hospital.

You will not only be contributing clinically to ensure that our patients receive the best service and care possible, but will also be at the forefront of driving change and innovation within the department.

You will be a part of cultivating an agile and responsive work environment to ensure unexpected or unpredictable activity is actioned to the highest standard in conjunction with meeting daily demands.

You will inspire your colleagues across MSE to innovate the way they work to improve not just patient experience but also staff morale, retention and departmental development.

You will act as a role model and advocate for your staff and patients, through developing and coaching staff in how to communicate in an effective and empathetic manner when dealing with difficult or confrontational situations.

With a workforce of approximately 15,000 staff, we can now do more and go further in delivering health services to our local communities.
