This is an exciting time to join the Global Philanthropy team at Compassion in World Farming and contribute to delivering our mission to end factory farming by 2040. With growing awareness of the devastating impact of factory farming, not only on animals but on human health and the environment, now is a unique moment to be raising funds for our work and bringing new donors on board., Our Global Philanthropy Team has been successful in securing income growth over recent years, and we have invested in our team to build on this momentum, expanding into continental Europe and growing our UK team, as well as our US team. This role will lead to further growth, ensuring our existing relationships with Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, corporate donors and partners flourish and grow, while having a focus on identifying and building new relationships and funding opportunities, broadening our international scope and ambitions beyond our UK and US bases. As part of the Global Fundraising Senior Management Team, you will develop a close working relationship with senior colleagues to ensure Compassion builds outstanding relationships with funders. You will work closely with the Global Director of Fundraising and US Director of Philanthropy, to shape strategy, budgets and plans, as well as KPIs and reporting. Compassion in World Farming International is a leading global organisation dedicated to ending factory farming worldwide. We were founded in 1967 by Peter Roberts, a British farmer alarmed by the rise of factory farming. Over the past 50 years, we have made major strides in abolishing inhumane practices such as barren battery cages, veal crates, and sow gestation crates in the UK and Europe. Our approach involves campaigning, advocacy, and engagement with policymakers at national, intergovernmental, and corporate levels, building a movement of individuals concerned about animal welfare and the health and sustainability of our food. We are driven by a passion for animal welfare and global food system change, believing in a future where animals are treated with compassion and respect, and where sustainable farming practices prevail for a healthy planet. Our international headquarters are in Godalming, Surrey, UK, with team members in 14 countries on four Continents, including the US, Italy, France, Poland, the Netherlands, Spain, Czechia, China, and a specialist policy office in Brussels.
