Full Job Description

The Programme Manager/Director will play a leadership role in driving the successful delivery of a technical programme within the Personal Lines Insurance domain, with a particular focus on Consumer Duty, General Insurance Pricing Practices, and PROD 4. This role will encompass all phases of programme delivery from requirements gathering through to execution, with a key focus on onboarding third-party suppliers and establishing governance across complex supply chains. The successful candidate will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, and mentor colleagues across the business. The Requirements

  • Direct the end-to-end technical programme delivery including requirements gathering (functional and non-functional), planning, and execution.
  • Develop and manage relationships with third-party technology and service suppliers, orchestrating a value chain and supply network.
  • Establish and oversee governance models for complex supply chains involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop pioneering thinking and liaise with the technology practice, both in GB and globally, to develop insurance solutions tailored to clients' needs.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, fostering professional development and encouraging best practices.
  • Set and manage programme budgets, ensuring effective cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with the GB Affinity team and broader internal networks to deliver client excellence and best practices.
  • Provide high-level problem-solving and ensure programme alignment with business goals.
  • Engage with senior management, up to Board level, providing regular updates on programme progress and strategy.
  • Demonstrate excellence in all aspects of programme management, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

    Deep experience in Personal Lines Insurance, with specific knowledge of Consumer Duty, General Insurance Pricing Practices, and PROD 4.
  • Proven experience in technical programme delivery, with expertise in both functional and non-functional requirements gathering.
  • Extensive experience onboarding and managing third-party suppliers in a complex ecosystem.
  • Strong capability in establishing governance structures for multi-stakeholder, supply chain-driven projects.
  • Ability to work closely with technology practices to deliver innovative insurance solutions.
  • Experience in managing programme budgets and controlling costs effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to engage with senior colleagues, including the Board.
  • A track record of mentoring and developing colleagues across different business units.
  • Knowledge of commercial lines is desirable but not essential.
