Full Job Description

We are recruiting for an Associate Healthcare Scientistwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff., Point-of-Care Testing (PoCT) is analytical testing that is performed near or at the site of a patient with the result leading to possible change in the treatment of the patient. Medway NHS Foundation Trust's Diagnostic and Therapies Care Group is responsible for the service.

This will include specific responsibilities for maintaining specialised PoCT equipment, trouble shooting, reagent management, documentation, performance of internal quality control, administration of external quality assessment programmes, delivering and organising training, audits and supporting service users and adherence to the appropriate infection control polices.

To work in a bespoke rapid testing facility, located in our busy Emergency Department. To perform a variety of rapid molecular based tests which assist clinicians to correctly cohort patients and improve patient flow.
