Full Job Description

The team acts for both claimants and respondents in all forms of pensions and investment litigation. Including High Court trustee applications, contentious regulatory investigations and proceedings, investment-related claims involving pension schemes, professional negligence claims and mediations, and Pensions Ombudsman and Financial Ombudsman complaints.

Those with pensions litigation experience are preferred but this is not a pre-requisite and the firm are willing to consider someone with a general commercial litigation or contentious trusts background coming from a leading City or International law firm.

THE SSQ DIFFERENCE
We are proud to have developed a recruitment consultancy that stands apart from its competitors in every sense:

Our approach is a progressive one. SSQ has consultants working on a full-time, part-time and flexi-time basis. We practise what we preach.

All of our staff are invited to become stakeholders in the business. They are compensated according to the overall success of the company as well as their individual success.

A candidate's career should come before our commission. It does.

If we can work with you, we will do so, applying our utmost dedication and commitment. If we cannot assist you, we will say so, promptly and frankly.

We recognise that a candidate only has one real chance to approach a law firm or a company. Getting it right is crucial. We strive to get each approach right.

There are no sliding scales in our recruitment fees. We only offer full refunds.

We care about your choices. After all, our future is inextricably tied to yours., SSQ IN THE COMMUNITY
We believe that organisations in the twenty-first century have a moral responsibility not only for the welfare of their employees but also a moral duty to society at large. Business has the resources and power to make a difference to humankind. At SSQ we wish to contribute our share towards making that difference.

An organisation that pursues and values short-term profits above all else, although successful in generating wealth, does little to assist the personal growth of its staff and even less to the development of our communities and environment.

We therefore see it as our responsibility to create a wealth that enriches the human spirit and serves our shared values as human beings.

At SSQ, amongst other initiatives, we commit to:

  • Match any charitable contribution made by a member of staff.

  • Support and encourage our staff to work (fully paid) one day a quarter for a charity of their choice.

  • Employ at any given time at least one school leaver or an unemployed individual so that that person may have a better opportunity of long-term employment.

  • Donate a percentage of our profits annually to charities nominated by our staff.

  • We believe that business has the ability to build a better world.
