An Associate Lecturer plays an important role in the success of our students by developing and delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire learning and foster academic growth. They assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential, and maintain accurate records and reports to track development. Collaborating closely with other members of the IT team, the Associate Lecturer contributes to the development and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring it remains current and relevant. Additionally, they play a key part in the overall development of the department, driving continuous improvement and supporting a high-quality learning environment.,

  • What is an Associate?
    Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.

    Ideal candidates will have experience of teaching Computing, with a strong, up-to-date knowledge of the subject area, relevant syllabus, and modern teaching methods. They will be able to demonstrate expertise in delivering content that is both current and aligned with industry standards. In addition to practical teaching experience, candidates should hold the following qualifications:
  • Degree in relevant subject area

  • Good standard of General Education to include Maths and English at Level 2

  • Recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed) (Desireable)
