Full Job Description

We're seeking a talented Associate Portfolio Manager to join our Portfolio Management team in Bristol. As an Associate Portfolio Manager, you will be delivering the firm's asset allocation views to our clients in a tailored approach to a large and varied group of clients. You will be working within the Bristol Portfolio Management team to deliver an excellent level of service to the region's Investment Managers and the clients on the firm. This is an fantastic opportunity for an aspiring Associate Portfolio Manager working towards becoming a Portfolio Manager. As an Associate Portfolio Manager your responsibilities will include among others:

  • The Day-to-day management of a bank of client portfolios to ensure they remain within compliant parameters in terms of asset allocation, risk budgets and portfolio construction.
  • To input into the Bristol Portfolio Management team's investment process and investment selection for target portfolios
  • To work in partnership with the Investment Managers within the region to increase their positivity in the team and as a result increase the funds under management of the team.
  • Managing portfolio cashflow - client payments, regular withdrawals and so forth
  • Continuous management of investments, reflecting our views on changing economic conditions
  • Optimisation and administration of ISA allowances, Hold a relevant level 4 qualification or above (aspiring for Level 7) and maintains an up-to-date Statement of Professional Standing

    Experience and knowledge of investments and the management of client portfolios., A positive, professional, and pragmatic approach to all duties
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Use judgement and reasoning in order to propose solutions to problems.
  • Attention to detail.
