Full Job Description

As an associate in our team, you will be immersed in an exciting work environment, handling challenging, time-sensitive deals that demand a dynamic approach and resilience. You will work closely with partners within our team and collaborate with colleagues across various practice areas in the firm. With a strong cross-border dimension to our work, you will also interact regularly with lawyers across our global offices and travel internationally as required.,

  • Provide strategic advice to private equity houses and financial sponsor clients on a range of complex cross-border acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, leveraged buyouts, and public offerings.

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of private equity transactions and conduct comprehensive due diligence and draft key transaction documents, such as purchase agreements and investment agreements.

  • Identify and pursue business development opportunities, assisting with and implementing firm-wide strategies.

  • Engage proactively with clients to build and maintain strong relationships, providing strategic advice and addressing their needs.

  • Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues across various practice areas within the firm to provide integrated legal services.

  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, including trainees, and manage outside counsel.

  • Develop and share legal and sector knowledge both internally and externally.

    3-5 years' experience within private equity transactions, gained wholly or in part at a large commercial law firm.

  • Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity.

  • Commercially aware with ability to see the big picture.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Able to prioritise and multi-task particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Able to interact positively at all levels and be a good team player.

  • Driven by professional growth with strong professional presence.

    + Our standard office hours are 09:30-18:00, with a current requirement for 3 days in the office per week.
