Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS) in association with St Hugh's College
The Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS) and St Hugh's College are recruiting a Clinical Associate Professor, medically qualified, on the Specialist Register, and preferably the General Practitioner Register. We are looking for a clinical research lead who will complement our current research themes and would be particularly interested in candidates with research interests in the following areas: Cancer; Mental Health or Dementia; Public Health or Global Health.
We expect to appoint at the level of Associate Professor. An allowance of £3,078 p.a. would be made upon award of the title of Full Professor. The appointee will be a recognised authority in their field, demonstrating a sustained career of leading research and possessing breadth and depth of specialist knowledge.
You will be a registered clinician in a relevant area of research in primary care or public health; show evidence of excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervision and research training, and have a commitment to the organisation and delivery of teaching. You will show evidence of substantial independent research accomplishment and a strong publication record, as well as evidence of a substantial and realisable research plan which will complement the department's research strategy. You should also have the ability and willingness to undertake a proportionate share of administrative duties within the Department and the College, and a commitment to the academic and pastoral support of students.
You will be a member of NDPCHS as well as a Fellow at St Hugh's College. The role will involve undertaking independent research, graduate teaching, and graduate supervision. It will also encompass administrative, governance and pastoral duties for the department and college.

Salary (£) : £99,532 to £131,964 per annum, consultant scale based on years of seniority plus any applicable NHS merit awards.
